Your letter or email must include your full name, address, and your daytime/home number so they can call you to verify you wrote the letter. For questions, you can call 817-390-7599.
I will also need your support in OPPOSITION to this plan and will need you to show up when the city council will be asked to vote on this plan. I believe the date is Tuesday, April 27th at 10 am at City Council Chambers. I will confirm same and send you a confirmation email on the Friday before the Tuesday meeting.
Lastly, any library closure is a budget decision that will also have to be voted upon by the city council. I will continue this fight during the budget process as well.
I will fight for expanded facilities in District 2 at existing locations and a new library for Far North Fort Worth. And yes - I will continue to fight for more funds for both neighborhood streets and arterial streets. It's about priorities.
Thank you so much for caring about our libraries whether you live in Northside, Far Greater Northside, Diamond Hill, Riverside, and Far North Fort Worth. All of our citizens and residents need convenient access to libraries in neighborhoods. We are in this together.
Your councilmember who is united with you,
Sal Espino
District 2 Councilmember
City of Fort Worth
P.S. - The Library Comprehensive Plan is available for your review on the city's website at
